About The Position

The Maintenance Worker – Drywaller/Painter works under the direction of the Project Coordinator. The Maintenance Worker Drywaller/Painter is responsible for the painting of the building and equipment. They also must be able to perform all tasks necessary to prepare surfaces, tape, and finish drywall at a level 5 smooth, uniform finish. The Maintenance Worker – Drywaller/Painter assists the Project Coordinator in scheduling and planning of building repairs and projects. The special nature of this position may require working any shift any day of the week and holidays.

Requirements

• One year experience as a journeyman drywaller/painter
• Current California Driver’s License
• Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)
• Experience with painting and paper hanging techniques
• Experience with surface repair and preparation
• Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques

Nice To Haves

• Two years experience with hospital facility painting
• Certification in building trades or hospital maintenance experience
