About The Position

This role is responsible for transporting students and performing various janitorial, building maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks. The position involves ensuring the cleanliness and proper functioning of facilities and equipment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment. The role may also involve working with students in Work Based Learning programs and transporting them to various locations.

Requirements

Must have a class B driver's license.
Must be able to read and write English at a high school level.
At least six months of general maintenance experience.
Must have a valid Driver License.
Knowledge of methods needed to instill appropriate maintenance techniques.
Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and execute instructions or directives fluently in English.
Ability to operate office equipment.
Ability to read at a high school level.
Ability to write at a high school level.

Nice To Haves

Possess a High School Diploma.
One-year experience of general maintenance experience.
Be knowledgeable of the School Dude / Assets Essential work system (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
May work with assigned WBL (Work Based Learning) students.
CPR and First Aid Certifiable.

Responsibilities

Transporting students to vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
Performing interior and exterior janitorial duties.
Conducting building maintenance and groundskeeping assignments according to work orders.
Performing minor building construction tasks.
Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers.
Caring for plants, trees, and flowers.
Inspecting vehicles and reporting mechanical issues.
Ensuring tools and equipment are in good repair and properly stored.
Transporting equipment and commodities.
Performing minor electrical tasks such as changing light bulbs and replacing electrical cords.
Maintaining facilities in accordance with standards.
Attending training sessions and staff meetings.
Maintaining a work environment of zero accidents and injuries.
Ensuring a work environment that provides equal opportunity for all.
Performing other duties as assigned.
