About The Position

This is a Full Time position for a Maintenance Worker/Driver at HUD Permanent Supportive Housing in Staten Island, NY. The role involves monitoring the daily and long-term maintenance care of apartments, including mechanical systems, general cleaning, painting, drywall repair, lock and door changes, and minor repairs. The position also requires delivering and moving furniture, cleaning and disinfecting apartments before occupancy, and performing snow/ice removal. A clean and valid driver's license is essential for this role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent related maintenance experience required.
• A clean and valid driver's license is required.
• Basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems experience needed.
• The ability to diagnose problems and troubleshoot resolution.
• The ability to establish workload priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring daily and long-term maintenance care of apartments in the program.
• Monitor operation of mechanical systems in the apartments.
• General cleaning, painting, drywall repair, ability to change locks and doors.
• Provides minor repair and improvements to residences when necessary.
• Maintain stock of maintenance supplies needed for residence upkeep.
• Deliver and move furniture in/out of apartments as directed.
• Clean and disinfecting apartments prior to occupancy.
• Snow/ice removal on the various residences' property.
