About The Position

The Maintenance Utility role helps keep the hotel operating smoothly and supports positive guest experiences. The position involves maintaining hotel areas and equipment, ensuring indoor and outdoor areas are safe and clean, and following preventive maintenance procedures. The role also involves monitoring supply levels and communicating them to a supervisor or duty manager, as well as taking on additional duties when needed. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly wage of $17.92. The employer describes a full uniform, room discounts, training, and wellbeing support among its offerings.

Requirements

At least one year of maintenance or repair experience.
A high school diploma or related vocational training.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, a building management program, and/or reporting tools such as HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
Working knowledge of building equipment and hand tools, basic plumbing and electrical work, and preventive maintenance procedures.
A reasonable level of fitness to spend most of the day on one's feet and frequently bend and kneel.
Meet local laws regarding food handling and serving alcohol, be above the minimum age required, and be fluent in the local language.
Strong communication skills and a warm, welcoming, approachable manner.

Nice To Haves

Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification; a Certified Pool Operator license is ideal if the hotel has a pool.

Responsibilities

Repair, replace, and refurbish items around the hotel.
Maintain the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel.
Follow the preventive maintenance calendar and identify ways to improve guest experiences.
Keep a supervisor or duty manager informed about supply levels.
Take on additional duties when needed by the team.
