About The Position

This role requires a candidate with good vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination. The individual must be able to follow written work instructions, multitask, and possess strong communication and team-oriented skills with great attention to detail. The position involves significant physical demands, including lifting 50lbs regularly, gripping, pushing, and pulling with 80lb strength regularly, and generating 15lbs of pinch strength occasionally. The ability to perform elevated work, stand on concrete for up to 8 hours, and pass a pre-employment physical, including wearing a respiratory mask when required, is essential. The role also requires operating and being certified on various powered industrial trucks and equipment, and adhering to all safety rules and wearing required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Previous maintenance and janitorial experience preferred.
• Good vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and procedures.
• Operate specific vehicles including Case End loader, skid loader, tow motor, and other utility equipment.
• Assist other departments by maintaining the flow of materials and supporting the maintenance department.
• Read pH meters, calibrate gauges, and handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste under the direction of the Environmental and Safety department.
• Unload sand hoppers, sand trucks, trash hoppers, and cardboard hoppers.
• Clean bathrooms, hallways, etc.
• Operate sweeper equipment and floor care equipment.
• Move items such as file cabinets, desks, etc. as needed.
• Clean and perform preventive maintenance on sand mixers.
