About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an experienced Maintenance Training Manager 2 to join their team of qualified individuals within the Flight Operations organization. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK. This opportunity is contingent on program funding, and start dates are determined after funding confirmation. The role involves overseeing a team of Maintenance Trainers responsible for tracking and instructing a training pipeline, designing and delivering programs for all levels of personnel, developing tests and visual aids, conducting training classes, and evaluating training effectiveness. The manager will stay updated on training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory, and new methods. They will also develop in-house programs to identify developmental needs and prepare personnel for increased responsibility and effectiveness. Additionally, the role may involve evaluating or overseeing contractors/vendors for training program development and administration, and potentially developing e-learning programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; OR a High school diploma/GED with 9 years of experience
  • Experience should be in training and/or maintenance
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Experience with courseware sustainment
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Must be able to travel to various locations for initial training for a minimum of 24 weeks prior to relocating to the permanent location
  • Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a USAF or Equivalent Mx Training Flight or Field training detachment.
  • Basic Instructor Course or international instructor cert
  • Experience with training content development principles: ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees a team of Maintenance Trainers responsible for tracking and instructing a training pipeline
  • Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel
  • Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
  • Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques
  • Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments
  • May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs
  • May be responsible for development of e-learning programs
