About The Position

The Maintenance Trainer is responsible for managing the maintenance training program, including developing and implementing a schedule for all maintenance personnel. This role involves facilitating the DuPont Training Program, which includes training modules, hands-on labs, and field training. The trainer will manage the progress of each team member, provide feedback to team members and management, and track progress within the training program. Additionally, the trainer will spend time in the plant verifying hands-on training and comprehension, develop and maintain testing lab equipment and classroom facilities, and continually develop training curriculum specific to plant needs. The role also includes developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) with related graphs and documents.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lead people toward achieving personal and plant results.
  • Goal-oriented.
  • Possess root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite is preferred.
  • Strong writing and computer skills are preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree from technical/trade school preferred.
  • Multi-skilled maintenance background desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the DuPont Training Program, including implementation and execution.
  • Track and document that team members are receiving required time in the training program.
  • Provide feedback to the management team if training requirements are not being met.
  • Provide timely feedback to team members on their progression through training.
  • Spend time in the plant verifying team members’ hands-on training and comprehension.
  • Develop and maintain testing lab equipment and classroom.
  • Continually develop training curriculum specific to plant needs.
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain key performance indicators, including related graphs and documents.
