About The Position

Tyson Foods is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Trainee role. This position is critical to the company's mission of raising the world's expectations on how much good food can do. Requirements

  • 3 Months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
  • Ability to learn troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use the computerized maintenance program.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
  • No rehire for former Tyson Team Members that were termed for gross misconduct.
  • If you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Industrial maintenance and electrical.
  • Knowledge within hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Training to perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Rebuilding equipment as determined necessary by supervisor.
  • Performing facility repairs within the assigned area.
  • Making machine adjustments during production periods.
  • Repairing equipment as necessary in the event of mechanical failure.
  • Learning the use of the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicating with proper personnel.
  • Subject to shift or department rotation.
  • Abiding by all safety regulations.
  • Learning troubleshooting skills.
  • Passing all required levels in the Maintenance Skills Training Program within the allotted time frame.
