About The Position

Radial Solutions Inc. (RSi) is seeking a Maintenance Test Pilot/Chief Pilot to support its Army customer on the Ft. Benning Aviation Maintenance and Logistics contract for the Army Ranger School. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all phases of flight operations. The position serves as the lead for Maintenance Test Pilots while also performing their duties. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Successfully completed Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course (MTPC) for the MDS H60 series assigned
  • Able to pass an FAA second class flight physical annually
  • FAA Instrument Certification plus 1,000+ hours of pilot in command (PC/PIC) time
  • Knowledge of army regulations, FAA, DOT, FAR and contractor operations.
  • Expert level knowledge of the applicable aircraft model.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all flight activities with the GFR, ACLC and Site Manager
  • Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all phases of flight operations
  • Performs testing—using both ground and in-flight diagnostic test equipment—during various phases of flight, including engine run-up and taxi, to ensure that aircraft systems or components affected by inspection or maintenance actions have been properly repaired, reassembled, or adjusted.
  • Evaluate aircraft systems, engines, and accessories for compliance with airworthiness standards and contract specifications, utilizing proven diagnostic and operational techniques
  • Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain all necessary flight documentation and records in required systems.
  • Participate in any post flight after action reviews
  • Responsible for the records of all MTP's within this contract and ensure qualifications are met
  • Preflight coordination with the Chief Pilot to ensure all maintenance has been completed and the aircraft is safe for flight per RSi procedures and Army Regulations.
