About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment as well as the general upkeep of the facility. This position is for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Tech, with hours from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics, generally acquired through technical training or previous experience.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work with chemicals.
  • Ability to wear a respirator, be in a confined space, and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Willingness to certify on forklift.
  • Must actively participate in discussions of equipment, repair, and process improvements.
  • Must work in a safe and professional manner at all times.
  • In case of emergencies, must be willing to work off-shifts and weekends when needed.
  • Willing to rotate on-call duties with the team.
  • Entry level of mechanical understanding.
  • Ability to handle basic repairs and PMs.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to retain knowledge.
  • Electrical PMs.
  • Gas Welding.
  • Proficient with battery tools.
  • Find root cause then repair.
  • Ability to safely work independently by themselves.
  • Electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Repair equipment and verify repair effectiveness, then clean the area.
  • Train with associates on preventative maintenance and ensure activities are completed correctly.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely.
  • Maintain and document all necessary preventative maintenance.
  • Work with contractors on equipment repairs from start to finish and be present during their work.
  • Complete all scheduled and assigned documentation.
  • Assist in accurately tracking major/key parts for repairs.
  • Perform 5S maintenance in designated facility areas.
  • Collaborate with the team to gather maintenance items from the receiving area.
  • Identify proper tools.
  • Perform entry-level mechanical understanding tasks.
  • Handle basic repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs).
  • Perform electrical PMs.
  • Perform gas welding.
  • Operate battery-powered tools proficiently.
  • Find root causes and perform repairs.
  • Safely work independently.
