About The Position

This is a full-time, hourly position for a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician at the Griffin Box facility in Griffin, GA. The role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and diagnosing/repairing various mechanical and electrical systems. The technician will also operate and monitor the facility boiler, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with team members and vendors. Flexibility to work alternate shifts, weekends, and overtime is required.

Requirements

A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
One to two years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Perform routine maintenance (e.g., lubrication, inspections, adjustments) and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems using appropriate tools, manuals, and schematics.
Safely operate and monitor the facility boiler, ensuring steam pressure remains above 180 PSI.
Accurately complete maintenance records and keep supervisors informed of equipment issues and progress.
Work effectively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors to meet maintenance goals and support plant operations.
Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall maintenance and production efficiency.
Willingness to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.
