About The Position

The Maintenance Technician, working a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shift schedule (7 AM - 7 PM), must be highly motivated, capable of working safely in accordance with OSHA standards, and effective both as an independent self-starter and when working cooperatively with others. This role requires the ability to plan and execute work to meet crucial deadlines, efficiently serving clients and contributing to the success of Crown. The position is located at the Johnson City, TN Manufacturing Plant.

Requirements

3+ years of strong electrical background in troubleshooting motor controls
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic shop math skills – whether calculating averages for a control chart, making machine adjustments, or reading prints
Ability to solve practical problems
Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Documentation, ADP, and ability to use internet tools.

Nice To Haves

Metal fabrication and welding experience preferred
Two-year certificate from a technical college or vocational school preferred
Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret SOPSs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical control systems and instrument loops
Basic knowledge of instrument calibrations and Metrology practices
Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical failure of production machines and facilities equipment
Knowledge of operation of manufacturing/packaging machinery and experience with installation of new and used equipment
Work with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams, basic shop math, and machine shop skills
Knowledge of cGMP practices
