About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair duties on mechanical equipment, machinery, buildings, grounds, and facility structures to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) establishments. This position maintains equipment, fixtures, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, and grounds, while also assisting with minor construction projects, including the handling and transportation of equipment and materials. The Maintenance Technician ensures the proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies, promotes continuous workplace safety improvements, and utilizes hand and power tools as well as power lifts to perform tasks at heights of up to 40 feet. The role requires a commitment to LDC’s Core Values, Policies, and Procedures, serving as a positive role model, maintaining professional relationships with coworkers, guests, clients, and vendors, and consistently delivering exceptional customer service through respectful and meaningful interactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of six months of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Ability to frequently climb, balance, bend, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and overhead reaching.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong planning skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board.
  • Ability to maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening.
