About The Position

Burkentine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to resolve maintenance issues involving HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and appliances. The role includes preparing vacant apartments for move-in, maintaining the appearance and safety of the building and community, and providing residents with outstanding customer service. The position requires availability for weekend or evening work and an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, including snow removal.

Requirements

Preferably have at least a high school degree.
Experience in building maintenance or education in the trades.
Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
HVAC certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
Availability for property emergencies, including participation in an on-call rotation.
Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Reliable personal transportation to commute to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A service mentality and eagerness to learn.

Resolve maintenance issues involving HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and appliance repair.
Maintain the building's appearance and community safety through general upkeep, cleanliness, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
Work weekends or evenings and respond to after-hours emergencies while on call, including snow removal.
