About The Position

Performs work installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and plant systems. This role involves inspecting and testing machinery, diagnosing problems, and completing repairs. The technician will also work with vendors for troubleshooting, install and maintain pipe systems, and repair electrical apparatus and automated machinery. Safety procedures, including lock out/tag out, must be followed at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, trade or technical school certification; some related experience
Strong mechanical and electrical skills
Knowledge of plumbing, pump repair, welding and carpentry (dependent on area assigned)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, work process instructions, memos, etc.
Ability to follow instruction, accept corrections, contribute ideas, and work well as part of a team

Responsibilities

Inspects and tests machinery and equipment
Works with staff to detect and diagnose problems
Dismantles, cleans, and completes repairs on machinery/equipment as needed
Works with vendors to troubleshoot issues as needed
Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
Installs, programs and/or repairs automated machinery and equipment
Performs work safely and follows lock out/tag out procedures and other safety guidelines at all times
Performs other duties as assigned
