About The Position

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is seeking a motivated and energetic Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Department. This role is responsible for the upkeep and repair of a hotel's physical structure, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate will perform maintenance and repairs, including preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel, service hallways, public areas, and rooms as needed, and complete all assigned maintenance requests and tasks for the day. Responsibilities also include visually inspecting public areas and the overall resort for cleanliness, appearance, and safety, maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop, and ensuring the security of hotel inventory and assets. The technician will respond quickly and efficiently to guest requests, practice chemical safety rules, and follow procedures for hazardous materials. Reporting suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Manager and following all Lost and Found protocols are also key duties. Maintaining high standards of guest relations and possessing the ability to order supplies, receive instructions, and read equipment manuals are essential.

Nice To Haves

Prior maintenance experience is preferred.
Additional education, training, or certification preferred

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel.
Service hallways, public areas, and rooms as needed along with all other tasks as assigned.
Complete all maintenance requests and tasks as assigned for the day.
Visually inspect public areas and overall resort for cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of the hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests; Practice chemical safety rules and follows procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.
Report all suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Manager.
Follow all Lost and Found protocols.
Maintain high standards of guest relations when in contact with the guest.
Ability to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day and/or to read equipment manuals including safety information.
