About The Position

This role involves assisting and performing tasks related to preventative maintenance, equipment inspection, cleaning, and repair within a manufacturing environment. The technician will also be involved in training operators, managing spare parts, and ensuring maintenance schedules minimize production downtime. The position requires adherence to company rules, safe work practices, and maintaining a clean work area. The role is primarily "On-Site" and involves working the 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED with 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years+ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Superior analytical and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to work successfully in a cross functional matrix.
  • Must be proactive, detail oriented and focused on Quality.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

  • Required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Must regularly lift and or move up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to focus depending on the situation.
  • Employee must be able to learn to operate, maintain and adjust assigned equipment.
  • Employee must be able to wear a respirator depending on the situation.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a GMP manufacturing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and/or perform all tasks required as detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
  • Visually inspect equipment parts for damage and proper cleaning.
  • Clean, lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of the machinery.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with dismantling defective machines and equipment and installation of new or repaired parts.
  • Perform maintenance and repair activities within set budgets and monitor operator conformance to established operating conditions.
  • Provide encapsulation equipment training to new and current machine operators.
  • Schedule and ensure all preventative maintenance requirements are completed fully as detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
  • Assist in maintaining the appropriate levels of spare parts in stock to minimize downtime.
  • Work with Production Planning to schedule all preventative maintenance work while minimizing downtime.
  • Prioritize workload and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Learn, operate, and maintain all equipment (encapsulation, tablet process, stick pack, bottling line, etc.) in a safe and productive manner.
  • Adhere to company rules and safe work practices throughout each department.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned.
