About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial production facility. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various electrical and mechanical components, as well as working collaboratively within a maintenance team. The position requires the ability to work in demanding physical conditions and a continuous operation environment.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required.
Experience with electrical systems ranging from 24V control through 480V supply.

Nice To Haves

Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
Four years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
Maintenance experience in an industrial setting, preferably a continuous operation.
Experience with maintaining and repairing robotic packaging systems.
Experience and proficiency in electrical and electronic principles.
Experience and proficiency in blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
Experience and proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Experience and proficiency in preventative maintenance procedures.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and workload.
Strength in collaboration and working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems typically found in an industrial production facility.
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, and transformers.
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electronic control components such as photo eyes, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, tachometers and encoders.
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting motors, motor starters, gearboxes, drive systems, fans, pumps, conveyors, timing belts.
Understanding or ability to learn PLC ladder logic and troubleshooting components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, control and communications modules).
Developing and maintaining good working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team.
Performing other duties or projects as assigned.
