About The Position

IDEX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain manufacturing equipment and facilities. This is an active, hands-on role supporting both facilities and production needs. The ideal candidate will be flexible with changing priorities, able to work with minimal supervision, and comfortable working in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom fabrication environments. The role requires a high standard of integrity, reliability, motivation, and a positive team-player attitude. The company emphasizes providing trusted solutions that improve lives globally.

Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of experience with manufacturing equipment & facility maintenance.
  • Experience with Facility Systems.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments and documented quality systems, including GMP/GDP practices, SOPs, SPI requirements, and internal quality procedures.
  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance Programs.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures accurately.
  • Strong ability to prioritize assignments and manage time effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to make sound decisions within assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be proficiency with MS office tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Willing to learn and work on vacuum chamber coating system equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, software, basic electrical, and basic controls of equipment.
  • Identify and submit procurement tickets for needed spare parts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on shift for equipment maintenance and parts replacement.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management to understand scheduled maintenance needs.
  • Maintain and install machine control systems as needed.
  • Maintain facility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, chilled-water, and nitrogen systems.
  • Work on and close out maintenance requests pertaining to the facility, including basic carpentry, minor plumbing, minor electrical, and mechanical tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly facility and workspace, and assist in cleanup events during equipment malfunctions.
  • Schedule and work with vendors for specialized system support.
  • Support Continuous Improvement events and participate in team activities.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing to improve process and equipment reliability.
  • Learn and work on vacuum chamber coating system equipment.
  • Support the EH&S program by following IDEX guidance and processes, and act as the EH&S point of contact on shift for production.
  • Promote a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
