About The Position

A Ziegenfelder Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for ensuring production equipment is set up and maintained to produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers. This role involves preparing and configuring machinery for scheduled production runs, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and providing immediate corrective maintenance support to production lines, conveyor belts, and ancillary production equipment. The technician will also be responsible for checking and maintaining proper fluid levels, performing overhauls of existing production equipment, and assisting in the installation of new production equipment. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders is essential, as is the ability to complete Maintenance Associate essential functions if needed. Compliance with OSHA Safety and Health rules and ensuring food safety of products are critical aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • High School Education or Equivalent
  • Mechanically Minded
  • Desire to learn and take direction from maintenance team members
  • Ability to motivate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must be flexible in working any shift available for this position
  • Standing up to 8 hours per day.
  • Moving and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Bending, twisting, reaching and grasping actions.
  • Good spatial awareness working around manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work in temperatures of less than 32F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment.
  • May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment.
