Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.
  • Must be able to stay awake for the entire shift.
  • 3 to 6 months related job experience or training necessary.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, divide and multiple in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and email.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain the general upkeep of buildings and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Heinzerling vehicles.
  • Perform minor repairs within the facilities and on grounds.
  • Consult with Maintenance Technician II and Maintenance Supervisors regarding major repairs and safety concerns.
  • Clean and inspect equipment after each use.
  • Practice and follow safety guidelines.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, air filters etc.
  • Identify and assist with carpentry and repair work.
  • Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, routers, drills, and various hand tools.
  • Set up for facility functions.
  • Pick up parts for equipment if necessary.
  • Assist with snow removal or mowing as requested.
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as needed.
