We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to operate out of our Grand Rapids location. The Maintenance Technician maintains and troubleshoots equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Must have troubleshooting and problem resolution experience.
Ability to complete assignments with limited supervision.
Ability to read and interpret documents and blueprint drawings.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions including basic mathematical skills.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Ability to train on days before moving to nights.
High School Diploma or credentialed equivalent in English & Mathematics.
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a Maintenance role.
Must have Mechanical experience.
Electrical preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Responsible for equipment safety.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve all equipment malfunction of plant machinery.
Assembly, dis-assembly, and upgrade of converting/extrusion equipment as required.
Document all maintenance activities and champion preventative maintenance programs.
Take proactive measures to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
All other duties as assigned.
