About The Position

The Salvation Army, Booth Manor is a 100 1-bedroom apartment complex facility that houses senior citizens 62 years and older. Booth Manor is located in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia. Booth Manor is a facility that is funded by the Department of housing and urban. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and condition of Booth Manor I and II. This will include a daily routine cleaning schedule of all common areas, trash removal, inspection of units / property, complete work orders, painting, preventative maintenance and care and upkeep. This position will also require you to travel to Ivy Residence, our sister site, 1-2 times a week, or when necessary.

Requirements

• Experience in multifamily maintenance
• Experience involving affordable housing, senior housing, or special needs housing
• Must be able to keep information in a confidential and secure fashion
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least two years building maintenance experience
• Must be a self-starter who can work in an environment with multiple changing work priorities
• Good verbal and writing communication skills
• Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance
• PA State Police Criminal Record Check
• FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
