About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position ensures residents a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The role includes a variety of tasks, such as appliance repair, plumbing, electrical work, general HVAC maintenance, and addressing hazardous conditions on the property.

Requirements

GED or Equivalent
Residential and/or Commercial Maintenance Experience: 3-5 years (Required)
Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a thorough background check
Ability to lift up to 50lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Communicate effectively
Practice team behavior & demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships
Organized and manage time effectively
Proficient in technology and cell phone applications (i.e., Gmail, Slack, Monday.com)

Nice To Haves

Plumbing Experience: 3-5 years (Preferred)
Electrical Experience: 3-5 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Make repairs to appliances (garbage disposal, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, icemakers, laundry equipment, ovens, stoves)
Repair plumbing fixtures (leaky faucets, toilets, sinks, drain, valves, water lines)
Identify and correct hazardous property conditions, look for needed maintenance and liability hazards and repair/report to Regional Property Manager
Perform turn-key work as required to ensure vacancies are rent-ready in a timely manner for new residents
Diagnose repairs needed, install communications and entertainment systems (telephone, television, cable, smart tv hookup, internet, call button and alarm systems)
Perform wall texturing, painting, drywall repairs
Perform rough and finish carpentry as well as door removal and installation
Diagnose repairs needed and general maintenance for Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment (HVAC)
Replace & Test Smoke Detectors & Carbon Monoxide Alarms
Other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned
