About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. The Maintenance Technician performs all tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, preventive maintenance, HVAC and tests and inspections of the physical plant. Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and Safety/Risk Management Plans, policies and procedures. The Maintenance Technician assists in assuring a safe and risk preventive environment. Perform preventive maintenance electrical test as well as the removal, installation and repair of all mechanical/electrical equipment with direct supervision of a supervisor. Maintain facility grounds in a neat and attractive appearance. Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred; two years of technical or trade school preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions.
  • Must experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering.
  • Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within two weeks of hire.
