About The Position

The Maintenance Technician role is mainly focused on fluid checks and basic vehicle maintenance. Typical work includes changing vehicle oil, checking transmission and other fluid levels, inspecting belts and filters, and checking air levels and gauges. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to identify problems quickly.
Knowledge of automobiles.
Effective analytical and communication skills.
Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
Comfort operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills.
Positive, friendly attitude.

Nice To Haves

Ford Certification is a plus.
Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus.

Responsibilities

Test systems and components to verify they are secure and working properly.
Perform oil changes, filter changes, and recalls.
Repair or replace worn parts before they cause vehicle breakdown or damage.
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.
Clean the shop and take out trash.
Check transmission and other fluid levels, inspect belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.
