Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Augusta Nursing and Rehab is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to help keep the facility safe, comfortable, and well maintained for residents. The role involves coordinating with nursing staff, carrying out repairs and preventive maintenance, maintaining grounds and building systems, and supporting safety inspections and drills. The technician will also contribute ideas to improve maintenance processes. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of experience in building trades, maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with industry-specific tools and software is essential; knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing work is preferred. Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily maintenance services in resident areas with nursing staff.
- Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance, and assist with refurbishing projects.
- Maintain facility grounds to provide a safe and pleasant outdoor environment.
- Maintain equipment and building systems to support resident comfort.
- Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills to support compliance and security.
- Develop and implement ideas and solutions to improve maintenance processes.
