About The Position

The Maintenance Technician maintains building electrical systems and heating and cooling equipment, and performs maintenance or general carpentry on doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, and similar items. The technician completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded and answers security alarm calls as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

The role is based in an industrial warehouse environment, near moving mechanical machinery, where noise is usually loud. Work may involve heights, temperature changes, driving equipment, and possible exposure to dust, fumes, or gases. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• Three years of applicable direct experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Skills in mathematics, personal computers, and related applications.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school education preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
