About The Position

Total Gas & Chemical Management (TGCM) Operations group provides our semiconductor manufacturing customers with on site safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of the gases and chemicals needed on a daily basis in the production of electronics materials. This service requires operating and maintaining gas and chemical distribution equipment and systems 24/7 without issue or interruption. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or 5+ years experience
  • 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Qualified as a TGCM Technician Level 8
  • Minimum of 4 years in TGCM
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow and give instructions – verbal and written
  • Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment
  • Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise a group of technicians on a project
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem solving actions
  • Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules
  • Demonstrate ability to train junior technicians
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 11 hours per day
  • Ability to operate hydraulic foot pump (55 gallon drums - drums could be up to 500 lbs)
  • Job requires constant bending to successfully complete shift tasks (validating information, checking systems, etc.)
  • Ability to wear a respirator as part of required PPE for certain job tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field, military technical/electronic rating or nuclear field, or equivalent industry.

Responsibilities

  • Performs minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures.
  • Generate Ad Hoc reports and consolidate data as requested by Team Leadership.
  • Maintain and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
  • Perform advanced gas/chemical troubleshooting and repair of delivery equipment.
  • Coordinate the installation, facilitation, and start-up of all high purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment.
  • Perform daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs.
  • Verify that daily rounds are recorded.
  • Determine corrective action to be taken in the event of abnormal parameters and ensure that the process reaches a safe resolution.
  • Ensure that an accurate and complete gas and chemical inventory is maintained.
  • Evaluate trends in monthly gas and chemical usage to foster efficiency.
  • Monitor and understand correct liquid bulk delivery procedures for each product on site.
  • Perform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers.
  • Provide information for and initiate proper reporting procedures per on-site policies including, but not limited to: Quality Incident Reports, product acceptance, tank fill, inventory and material usage, bulk gas analysis, analyzer calibration, monitoring, safety parameters, and personnel requirements.
  • Collaborate in the identification and resolution of gas/chemical-related manufacturing problems.
  • Serve as a key Emergency Response Team contributor.
  • Commission and start up specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
  • Restart all high purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment.
  • Facilitate the approval of Hazardous Work Permits.
  • Successfully complete TGCM Tech 8 local OJT and qualification requirements.
  • Serve as the primary customer shift connection.
  • Support on-site operations in the absence of the Manager.
  • Participate in customer and Air Liquide programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Support training of TGCM contractors and TGCM Tech 5, 6 & 7 colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain applicable site-specific work instructions to ensure team clarity.
  • Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc.
  • Complete assigned tasks per existing procedures with excellence.
  • Trained and qualified (with DOA) as Life Critical Permit Authorized.
  • Completes Safe Work Permit/Zero Impact Plans as assigned.
  • Dedicated to the safety of all persons, and the general public surrounding facilities.
  • Support the safe transfer of materials to the storage area by following established documentation and safety procedures.
  • Contribute to emergency preparedness and safe material handling by following our shared safety protocols for spills and container preparation.
  • Partner with the team on waste minimization initiatives and maintain a helpful understanding of applicable hazardous waste laws.
