The Legacy at Southpointe Drive is seeking a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of an assisted living community. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, preventative maintenance etc. A Maintenance Technician is a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Requirements

  • Minimum (4) four years of related Facilities Maintenance experience in Senior Living, Hospitality or Multi Family
  • Some formal training in at least one of the following areas: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Appliance Repair, Remodeling.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Exceptional customer service skills and strong communication skills.
  • Must possess own tools to perform daily maintenance tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of Commercial building codes and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Must have valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, preventative maintenance etc.
  • Maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
  • Perform general maintenance repair needs at assigned communities.
  • Problem solve, plan, organize, communicate, and cooperate with others.
  • Follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
  • Seek out new methods and participate and be able to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
  • Effectively follow written and oral instructions.
