What you’ll do As a Maintenance Technician, you will embody Nutreco’s Own It mindset by taking full accountability for the equipment that supports our mission of feeding the world. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, using technical diagrams and strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues independently. You will work closely with production teams and external contractors to minimize downtime while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring strict adherence to HACCP standards. Through precision and ownership, you will play a key role in optimizing facility performance.

Requirements

Skilled, self-motivated Maintenance Technician who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in equipment reliability.
Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience in pumps, hydraulics, and PLC systems.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues independently.
Value safety, stay organized, and communicate effectively across teams.
Comfortable in a physically demanding setting.
Committed to maintaining high quality and food safety standards.
Proven experience in an industrialized manufacturing environment with a deep working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (up to 480), including pumps, valves, piping, and motors.
Ability to interpret complex technical documents—such as P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), blueprints, and engineering specifications—to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
Self-starter mindset with the organizational skills to manage time and maintenance tasks independently, ensuring minimal production downtime without constant supervision.
Disciplined commitment to safety protocols and HACCP procedures, with the confidence to ensure that all co-workers and outside contractors adhere to these rigorous standards.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with production staff, engineers, and service technicians to solve problems and optimize facility performance.
Must already be authorized to work independently in the country where the position is based. Employer sponsorship is not available for this role.
