About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the reliability, safety, and functionality of facility equipment, material handling equipment, and operational systems. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment issues, completes work orders, and collaborates with operations teams to minimize downtime and maintain efficient warehouse operations. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring compliance with Schnellecke Logistics safety standards, engineering processes, and operational requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, tuggers, scissor lifts, and other maintenance-related equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain maintenance documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings consistent with applicable laws and company policies, which may include background and drug testing requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training, vocational education, or maintenance-related certification preferred.
  • Experience performing industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or facility maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Schnellecke Logistics safety principles, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment, material handling equipment, and operational systems.
  • Complete maintenance work orders accurately, safely, and within established timelines.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities with planners, supervisors, and operations personnel.
  • Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Maintain 5S standards within maintenance areas, tool storage locations, and equipment cages.
  • Ensure pre-shift inspections are completed on material handling equipment and document any deficiencies.
  • Support troubleshooting and repair efforts to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Act as a liaison between operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of equipment concerns.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain maintenance records, repair documentation, and equipment service logs.
  • Support operational teams with remediation of equipment and facility-related concerns as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs and operational objectives.
