About The Position

Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician at its location in McKinney, TX. This position will be responsible for providing general maintenance labor for the repair and upkeep of our McKinney facility and as well as coordinating work with relevant vendors. Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of maintenance experience in a production environment
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility and grounds by performing general cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Completing minor repairs to electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Setting up, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, including ovens and presses.
• Moving furniture, receiving equipment deliveries, fabricating, assembling, and reorganizing workstations as needed.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for the landlord and coordinating third-party services, including professional cleaning and lawn care.
• Managing scrap recycling, hazardous waste stream activities, safety inspections, and coordinating ongoing and annual permits and inspections.
