About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the physical integrity of the community by ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This role involves various maintenance responsibilities.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in a related field.
• EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills.
• Works as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone system and general office equipment.
• Must be able to take calls for emergency requests.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties.
• May need to drive a golf cart.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform minor or routine preventative maintenance or repair on all units and equipment.
• Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant.
• Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services of apartments after move out.
• Use expert knowledge to abide by pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials.
• Create and assist with work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
• Schedule vendors and contractors/responsible for curb appeal.
• Ensure all amenities and grounds are finished and ready for review.
• Walk move-outs to assess damages/issues and reports results to the Maintenance Supervisor.
