Job Summary Maintains and repairs building and equipment, including resolving complex maintenance problems. Expected hours of work: Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm

Requirements

  • Three years or more of related experience in general maintenance work.
  • Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.
  • Substantial experience in carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, general building systems and related areas as necessary.
  • May require knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.
  • Ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner, including ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets, and instructions.
  • Basic ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to identify and resolve potential safety and security problems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance of building (s), including painting, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Resolves complex maintenance problems. Keeps related records. Completes repair projects and minor remodels.
  • Inspects and services vans, and keeps related records.
  • Maintains and repairs fitness equipment.
  • Reports and resolves building problems.
  • May order maintenance supplies and equipment. Maintains equipment and tools.
  • May coordinate work of contractors, as assigned.
  • May move furniture.
  • Responsible for ensuring staff are properly screened, trained, supervised and held accountable to the organization’s abuse risk management standards.
