About The Position

The Maintenance Lead guides the daily activities of the maintenance team while actively performing skilled mechanical and electrical repairs. This role serves as the primary link between frontline technicians and management, coordinating work orders, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience acting in a lead, coordinator, or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in both mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Expert familiarity with standard industrial hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Daily Workflow: Assign tasks to maintenance technicians and monitor ongoing work quality.
  • Support Scheduling: Assist the Maintenance Manager with labor scheduling and project prioritization.
  • Provide Performance Input: Observe team performance and provide objective feedback for annual reviews.
  • Escalate Issues: Report complex technical problems and personnel concerns directly to management.
  • Perform Skilled Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild complex manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting: Test circuits and replace defective switches, receptacles, ballasts, and wiring.
  • Mechanical Operations: Align, service, and maintain mechanical systems and components.
  • Tool Operation: Utilize saws, drill presses, and various hand and power tools safely.
  • Enforce Safety Culture: Guarantee team compliance with OSHA regulations and plant safety practices.
  • Manage Documentation: Maintain accurate digital and physical records for labor, materials, and completed work orders.
  • Asset Care: Keep tools, workshop spaces, and maintenance equipment clean and operational.
  • Operational Reliability: Maintain excellent attendance to support continuous plant operations.
