About The Position

Sev Rend Corporation is a leading manufacturer of flexible retail packaging and sustainable materials. We are seeking to fill a Maintenance Technician position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment. This role is primarily electrical, with an expectation of working knowledge of mechanical systems to support efficient operations and minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education or certification may be preferred).
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Machinist skills are a plus.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects or work in challenging environments, if required.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical education or certification may be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems including motors, VFDs, control panels, relays, and sensors.
  • Perform electrical wiring, conduit bending, and panel work in compliance with applicable codes.
  • Parts fabrication, pipe threading, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of Sev-rend equipment or systems to ensure their optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with Sev-rend equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance, and report them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with equipment, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and equipment advancements through training and certifications.
