About The Position

Under moderate supervision, performs trade level mechanic work in the areas of preventative maintenance, electricity, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs. All employees are responsible for extending the mission and values of Baltimore Washington Medical Center by dedicating oneself to providing the highest quality healthcare services to the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with courses in shop, math, mechanical drawing, maintenance or related areas is required.
  • Four (4) years of maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • A current and valid Maryland driver’s license is required.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move in excess of 100 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance mechanic in a health care or institutional facility preferred.
