About The Position
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician must provide support to production while following all safety procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
- Self-directed and initiative skills.
- Interpret schematics i.e. electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical.
- Technical support skills.
- Must be able to work well in teams with other department employees.
- Follow all safety and environment regulations.
- Familiar with 5S requirements and standards.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Electrical license or 5 years industrial electrical experience preferred.
- 5 years of controls experience preferred.
- Technical School Training considered in lieu of experience.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, machine drawings, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics schematics.
- Troubleshoots programmable controllers.
- Troubleshoots equipment with CNC pneumatics and hydraulic controls.
- Installs wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls.
- Adjusts and calibrates machines.
- Removes, replaces and/or repairs machinery.
- Takes work orders out of CMMS and completes in a timely manner.
- Completes parts requisitions in CMMS with correct part numbers and vendors.
- Ensures all safety, including PPE, and lockout / tagout procedures are followed.
- Initiates and participates in process improvements and is part of the implementation group.
- Initiates self-directed activities.
- Perform 5S requirements as assigned.
- Complies with preventative maintenance schedule on equipment and adheres to the published standards.
