About The Position

CLK Multifamily Management, LLC is seeking a Certified Maintenance Technician with apartment maintenance experience. The ideal candidate is hardworking, takes pride in their work, and is eager to join the CLK Culture. This role requires at least one year of property maintenance experience, strong customer service skills for interacting with residents, co-workers, and vendors, and excellent time management skills to work independently and meet property goals.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience in apartment maintenance
  • All certifications required by federal, state and local law
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • HVAC License

Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance/Safety: Knowledgeable of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing hazardous materials. Aware of the condition of apartment property and immediately initiates action to correct unsafe conditions. Schedules and performs routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment. Inspects and maintains all tools in excellent condition. Aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer cleanouts. Performs work area clean-up and safety related duties.
  • General Maintenance: Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance or repair involving electrical and plumbing, A/C and heating systems, appliance repairs, water irrigation systems, stairs, gates, fences, patios, railings, tile, carpet, flooring, roofing, gutters, fasteners, interior/exterior lights, fireplaces, ceiling fans, gas fixtures and appliances, shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors, boilers, gas and electric, door locks, P.O. boxes and locks, security systems, ceiling leaks, walls, and pool areas, tile, hot tub/spa, and pool furniture.
  • Make-Ready Assistance: Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services. Assists make-ready staff as required to meet deadlines.
  • Reporting and Inventory: Reports all major repairs and need requisitions to Maintenance Supervisor and manager prior to any expenditure of funds. Must be knowledgeable of inventory levels of spare parts and supplies and inform Maintenance Supervisor of shortages.
  • Other Duties: Changes locks and makes keys. Removes and transfers heavy appliances and equipment. Assists in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc. to the dumpster when necessary. Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal laws; e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
