About The Position

The Engineer performs general maintenance and repair work to ensure hotel quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained. This role involves routine maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, and guest service related to maintenance issues within the hotel.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems.
Diagnose and repair equipment and systems such as lighting, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and HVAC units.
Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Respond to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues in guest rooms, public areas, and common facilities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.
Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
Communicate with suppliers and vendors for equipment servicing and parts procurement.
Identify opportunities for energy-saving measures and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with other hotel staff to provide a seamless guest experience.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental regulations.
