About The Position

A1 Garage Door is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle Annual Maintenance Club Tune Ups. The company provides comprehensive training, so no previous experience with garage doors is required. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys making things work perfectly, can explain mechanical concepts simply, likes helping people solve problems, is methodical, reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated, enjoys working autonomously, and is energetic and adaptable to tasks of any size. Previous experience in repairs and maintenance within the home service industry, manufacturing, or automotive sectors is a plus. Candidates who prefer not to interact with customers, dislike manual labor, are not weather-resistant, or are unwilling to follow training instructions should not apply.

Requirements

21 years old with a valid driver's license (3+ years driving record)
Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods
Physically able to lift 50lbs
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (excluding THC) and criminal background check
Knowledge of basic software (navigation apps, Google) and tablet/computer use
Basic knowledge of hand tools
Reading skills and basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required
Professional appearance
Current eligibility to legally work in the United States

Experience with repairs and maintenance in the home service industry, manufacturing, automotive, etc.

Responsibilities

Handling Annual Maintenance Club Tune Ups
Completing garage door inspections, following a checklist
Handling call back visits when issues arise
Focusing on turning negative customer experiences into positive ones
Educating customers on their garage doors and inspection findings
Receiving POs for the warehouse and updating inventory with exact counts
Assisting the Area Manager or Market Lead with load outs for techs and installers
Maintaining physical counts in the warehouse and updating inventory
