Impact: Reporting to the Facilities Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment in a manufacturing and distribution plant by ensuring all equipment is safe and ready for use.

Requirements

Ability to prioritize and organize with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. 1-3 yrs
Desire and willingness to learn complex machinery. 1-2yrs
Strong technical problem-solving skills. 3-5yrs
PLC diagnostics and repair 1-3yrs
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system failures. 3-5 yrs
Familiarity with CMMS systems 1-3yrs
Ability to work with small parts (sewing machine parts)
Must be willing and able to be on an “on call” list for the facility security alarm system.
Maintain a neat and clean work environment.
Must be able to attend both offsite and onsite training.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed including overtime.
Work independently with little supervision.
Assist and participate in Six Sigma, Lean or Continuous Improvement projects.
Follow LOTO and PPE procedures as required.
Assist with other facility needs as they arise.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical maintenance strongly preferred.
Mechanical/Electrical experience will be considered in place of a degree.

Responsibilities

Daily PM’s on machines and facilities as scheduled.
Machine diagnostic and repair (sewing machines, air compressors, conveyor systems)
Facility maintenance includes light fixture repairs, pallet rack repair, etc.
Working with other departments to determine the best solutions to issues presented.
Fabrication for small projects to expand current capabilities.
Building system infrastructure inspections and repairs as needed.
