About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for verifying and maintaining good housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment. This role requires adherence to required and defined safety policies and procedures, including food safety programs, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements. The technician will also be responsible for obtaining and maintaining complete, proper, and up-to-date documentation for machine and facility service, maintenance, and preventative maintenance. Additionally, they will maintain and purchase an adequate inventory of required spare parts, materials, and equipment for preventative and corrective maintenance. The role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical equipment of varying voltages, including motors, starters, breakers, transformers, and drives. The technician will implement all maintenance projects and machinery installations and engage in preventative maintenance processes throughout the facility. Positive collaboration with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems is essential.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of electro-mechanic experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated experience with: PLC Hardware and Software, Electrical panel and drive components, A/C and D/C motors, Gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings, and bearings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain good housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Adhere to required and defined safety policies and procedures including food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain complete, proper, and up-to-date documentation for machine and facility service, maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain and purchase adequate inventory of required spare parts, materials, and equipment for preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment: Varying voltages, including but not limited to 480v, 240v and transformed 24v power. Motors (all types), starters, breakers, transformers, isolation switches, relays, fuses, resistors, air conditioning, valves, AC Drives, and DC Drives.
  • Implement all maintenance projects and machinery installations.
  • Engage in preventative maintenance processes throughout facility.
  • Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.
