About The Position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment, repairs, and utility systems within the facility. This role requires performing general maintenance duties such as room repairs, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and equipment repairs, painting, and refurbishing. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies, preparing the facility for seasonal changes (including snow/leaf removal and salting), responding to emergency calls, moving furniture, and assisting with or performing general repairs on various systems including HVAC, water, refrigeration, pumps, motors, fans, electrical, and emergency generators.
Requirements
- Caring, compassionate, and understanding.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Maintenance experience required.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining equipment, repairs, and utility systems within the facility.
- Performing general maintenance duties, such as room repairs, plumbing work, electrical, appliance, and equipment repairs, painting, and refurbishing.
- Maintaining all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
- Maintaining facility during season changes, including snow and leaf removal, and salting sidewalks.
- Answering emergency calls when assigned to the on-call phone.
- Moving furniture, such as beds, dressers, etc. from one area to another.
- Assisting or performing general repairs on the heating and air conditioning systems, water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators.
