Maintenance Technician provides semi-skilled assistance by performing general maintenance and upkeep at the corporate campuses owned and leased buildings and grounds. Responsibilities include the performance of manual tasks such as demolition work, painting, minor plumbing work, general cleanup of common areas, minor masonry work to include filling gaps on walls, laying of bricks, repairing and/or installing locks and other minor preventative maintenance tasks. This position would assist in repair work to mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Incumbent identifies and corrects building and equipment problems by performing routine inspections and service to maintain infrastructure and equipment in safe condition, prevent degradation of property and systems, and prevent failures that would cause reduction in service. Responsibilities include the performance tasks such as installation and repairs of the electrical power and lighting system, control circuits, demolition work, painting, minor plumbing work, general cleanup of common areas, minor masonry work to include filling gaps on walls, repairing and/or installing locks and other minor preventative maintenance tasks; will incorporate safe work practice including lock-out/tag out procedures. This position will assist technical trades and contractors such as electrical, HVAC, or general maintenance contractors. In this hands-on role, the incumbent performs preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment located at the corporate campuses or owned and leased properties. Responds to scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance work orders to support the maintenance and operation of the building systems. Direct supervision is received from Building Engineer and the indirect supervision and task management received from Senior Manager.
