About The Position

The Maintenance Technician helps maintain and enhance the physical integrity of the community, ensuring a clean and well-maintained living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The role requires prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a strong commitment to customer experience.

The technician maintains the facility and grounds, performs apartment turnovers and repairs, responds to work orders—including after-hours on-call requests—and helps inspect public areas and resident apartments. The role also involves safely operating and maintaining on-site equipment, securing tools and storage areas, following company policies and safety requirements, and participating in training workshops and safety meetings.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds, as stated under Skills/Abilities.
• Ability to work 8–12-hour standing shifts.
• Ability to work weekends and be available for on-call emergencies.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, as stated under Physical Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility and grounds based on community objectives.
• Follow safe practices for operating, maintaining, and repairing on-site equipment, including applicable health, safety, and OSHA programs, policies, and procedures.
• Complete apartment turnovers, including painting, carpentry, drywall patching and repair, appliance maintenance, and a detailed make-ready checklist.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner, including after-hours on-call maintenance requests.
• Participate in the on-call rotation with the Maintenance Team.
• Assist with inspections of public areas and resident apartments to ensure maintenance and standards are achieved and sustained.
• Keep storage areas, tools, and equipment secure.
• Comply with company policy while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Participate in training workshops and safety meetings as necessary.
