About The Position

PODS is hiring a hands-on Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair its portable storage containers and facilities. The role involves performing repairs independently, following repair instructions and technical guidance, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse or repair-center environment. Duties include carpentry, painting, caulking, cutting, cosmetic repairs, pressure washing, cleaning, material handling, and helping keep the work area organized. Forklift certification is available for employees who are not already certified.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction, building trades, assembly work, or a related hands-on field.
• Proven ability to use hand and power tools independently.
• Ability to read and understand English to comply with OSHA safety requirements.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to become forklift certified and safely operate material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Safety-first mindset and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Solid work ethic; regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, work above head level or on a ladder, and lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of repair tasks using hand and power tools with minimal to no supervision.
• Complete general carpentry repairs, painting, caulking, cutting, and cosmetic container repairs.
• Operate forklifts safely; obtain certification if not already certified.
• Operate standard shop equipment and safely perform required cutting operations.
• Pressure wash and clean containers.
• Safely rig and lift materials as part of repair work.
• Move materials using hand carts and assist with staging and organization.
• Follow repair instructions and technical guidance while exercising sound judgment.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, inside and out.
