About The Position

GCI Residential is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Legacy Patriots Point, a new luxury lease-up community in Charleston, South Carolina. The role helps deliver resident satisfaction by keeping the community safe, well-maintained, clean, and operating to high standards. The technician responds to resident service requests, completes apartment turns and repairs, and partners with the Maintenance Supervisor and the wider team to support a positive resident experience and operational excellence. Requirements

At least 2 years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience.
Knowledge and experience repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry items, building exteriors, and appliances.
Dedication to exceeding customer needs and ability to build and maintain relationships.
Thoroughness, self-motivation, and organization in accomplishing tasks.
Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call hours.
High school diploma or equivalent.
EPA certification, or willingness to obtain it, and substantial experience making HVAC-related repairs.

Responsibilities

Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the community and grounds.
Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests, troubleshooting and solving problems.
Perform apartment turns and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, carpentry, pool maintenance, and building exteriors.
Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to uphold community standards and provide an exceptional resident experience.
Contribute to a positive team environment focused on quality service and operational excellence.
