About The Position

Pratt Miller is a product development company in motorsports, defense, and mobility industries providing clients with product engineering and low-volume production solutions. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Pratt Miller's facilities, building systems, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and general facility upkeep across multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems. The Maintenance Technician works independently and collaboratively to support facility operations while responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of facilities maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment required.
• Broad knowledge of commercial and industrial facility maintenance practices.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Possess or obtain a valid Chauffeur's License.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Frequently stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, bend, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work at elevated heights using ladders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Regular exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing assigned duties.

Nice To Haves

• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as Eptura Asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of building systems and facility equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and facility equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawings to complete maintenance tasks.
• Utilize strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve facility and equipment issues.
• Safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment while maintaining personal hand tools necessary to perform assigned work.
• Utilize basic computer applications, including work order systems, Microsoft Office applications, email, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as Eptura Asset.
• Conduct routine facility inspections to maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment and building systems.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout facility work areas.
• Assist with facility setup and teardown activities for company meetings and employee events.
• Support emergency maintenance repairs and respond to facility issues as required.
